Working at Heights Training
Working at Heights Training is a ½ day (up to 3 hours) training course conducted on your site.
This working at heights training course meets the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety Executive. This course includes Ladder safety training as well as step ladder safety training. You should make sure that people with sufficient skills, knowledge and experience are employed to perform the task, or, if they are being trained, that they work under the supervision of somebody competent to do it.

In the case of low-risk, short duration tasks involving ladders, competence requirements may be no more than making sure employees receive instruction on how to use the equipment safely (eg how to tie a ladder properly) and appropriate training. Training often takes place on the job, it does not always take place in a classroom.
Who is it for?
This working at heights training course is designed for all personnel who work at heights and use steps and ladders.

Two years ago we first heard of Award H&S when we were looking for a local company to provide training for us, as our current H&S consultants worked out as non cost effective solution.
Chris came along and carried out the training for us and the amount of positive feedback I received from operatives and management was unbelievable. They liked Chris’s teaching manner in the way he made things simple and put things into basic English that everyone understood.
Our relationship has now got stronger and stronger and we now consider Award as an extension of our own company, and long may it continue!

During this time Chris and his team have delivered asbestos awareness training and scaffold safety training courses to our members. Award are an extremely helpful and knowledgable organisation, I value their updates on the latest H&S issues that our members have to consider and their flexible approach to our demanding training needs.

We used Award for some essential site staff training in Manual Handling and Working at Heights and were extremely pleased with what was delivered. The training was engaging and fun and staff gave it great feedback. The fact the training was in house kept costs and travelling times right down. I will use Award for all the training I possibly can from now on!
